27 November is now the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage
On 4 September 2026, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a landmark resolution establishing 27 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Child, Early and Forced Marriage — every year, for every child.
The 193-member UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution creating a permanent global platform to accelerate progress on the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen action for the health, education and protection of children — especially girls.
This day's resolution was led by H.E. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of Sierra Leone and President of OAFLAD. A survivor herself, she has altered the course of history through her advocacy, leadership and constant efforts for a better future for the children around the world.

Un Monde Sans Mariage d'Enfants travaille avec des partenaires pour mettre fin au mariage d'enfants, communauté par communauté.
La campagne mondiale a été lancée en 2024, suite au succès en Inde d’événements locaux de mobilisation pour mettre fin au mariage des enfants, menés par des femmes et des militants de soutien à travers le pays.
Notre toute première Semaine mondiale d’engagements pour mettre fin au mariage des enfants a eu lieu en décembre 2024, avec la participation d’écoles et de communautés de 30 pays.
