Survivor-Advocates’ Declaration to End Child Marriage

Child marriage affects millions of girls around the world, cutting short education, dreams, and childhoods. Survivor-advocates - women and girls with lived experience of child marriage - are raising their voices to demand change.

At UNGA80 this year, we organized a Global Survivor-Advocates Virtual Roundtable where they shared their lived experiences, highlighted the urgent actions needed to prevent child marriage, and called for comprehensive support systems for survivors.

During the Roundtable, survivor-advocates finalised a 'Survivor-Advocate Declaration to End Child Marriage', bringing together their inputs on the changes needed to end child marriage and the support structures required for survivors to heal and rebuild their lives.
