​​The pledge to end child marriage was an initiative that began in India in October 2021, when women and supportive activists organised events across the country in opposition to child marriage. After the incredible and fast-growing success of Child Marriage Free India’s local pledging events, which have now seen more than 50 million people take part, Child Marriage Free World was inaugurated in 2024. 

 

All individuals and organisations who want to end child marriage and who commit to do all they can to eliminate child marriage in their community and the world are welcome to take action. 

 

The first action of Child Marriage Free World is to initiate pledging events all over the world on 18th October 2024.

Child Marriage Free World is a campaign delivered by Just Rights for Children on behalf of the Just Rights Society. Just Rights for Children is a nonprofit organisation registered in the United States, and the Just Rights Society is a nonprofit registered in India.
