ABOUT THE LAW AND ANY EXCEPTIONS

Law(s) which govern marriage and/or child marriage:

Act Prohibiting the Practice of Child Marriage abd Imposing Penalties 2021

In 2021, the Philippines passed an act to end child marriage and imposed penalties for anyone involved in a child marriage. This act takes precedent over Muslim Personal Law, which has no minimum age for girls to be married, and it specifies the dates by which Filipino Muslim communities must comply with the new law. The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos is included as a delivery partner to the act.

CAN MARRIED OR PREGNANT GIRLS GO TO SCHOOL?
