Support the Call for an International Day to
End Child Marriage

Why an International Day?

Child marriage continues to affect millions of girls around the world. While progress has been made, far too many girls are still being denied their childhood, education, and future.

An International Day to End Child Marriage would create one moment each year for the world to come together, to raise awareness, spark conversations, strengthen commitments, and inspire action to end child marriage everywhere.

The Government of Sierra Leone has put forward a proposal at the United Nations to officially establish 27 November as the International Day to End Child Marriage.

A dedicated international day would bring governments, communities, faith leaders, and people like you together every year to raise awareness, push for accountability, and keep child marriage at the top of the global agenda.

We're asking governments around the world for their support
