On 18 December 2025, a Community-Based Faith Dialogue took place in Uganda as part of the 100 Days of Action to End Child Marriage. The meeting was organised by Dr. Chef. Hon. Lutwama Aaron and aimed to raise awareness and mobilise community members to take action against child marriage through faith-based approaches.

The dialogue was held in a community hall and brought together 12 participants, including 9 children and 3 parents. Among the children were 7 girls aged between 11 and 19 years and 2 boys. The session created a safe and interactive space for open discussion, reflection, and learning around the harmful impacts of child marriage. Parents actively engaged in conversations about their critical role in protecting children from early marriage.

The discussion emphasised the importance of education, parental guidance, and faith values as key tools in safeguarding children’s rights and futures. Participants also reflected on how faith teachings can promote dignity, protection, and equality for all children.

The event concluded with a clear call to action, with two participants taking a pledge to stand against child marriage. It was collectively recognised that deeper engagement with parents and ongoing community education are essential for creating lasting impact. This dialogue marked an important step in strengthening community commitment to ending child marriage in Uganda.
