As part of the 100 Days of Action to End Child Marriage, a school awareness and pledging session was held on 12 January 2026 at Kuby Crest International School in Kabala, Nigeria. The activity focused on helping students understand the harmful effects of child marriage and encouraging them to take a stand in support of their rights and futures.

The session was facilitated by Ms Nafisa Umar, who highlighted the importance of education for girls. She spoke about how access to knowledge not only shapes personal choices but also equips young people to advocate for their own rights and support others in their communities. Her message reinforced the idea that informed students can become powerful voices for change.

Twelve students took part in the discussion, engaging thoughtfully with the topic and reflecting on how child marriage affects education, health, and opportunity. At the end of the session, ten students made a pledge to stand against child marriage, demonstrating growing awareness and commitment among young people.

This engagement at Kuby Crest International School marks another meaningful step in the 100 Days of Action, showing how school communities can play an important role in building a future where every child is free to learn, grow, and choose their own path.
